Portland, OR — 2024 — Acclaimed Broadway leading man James Snyder, renowned for his performances in “If/Then,” “In Transit,” and “Cry-Baby,” is thrilled to announce a special Musical Theater Voice and Acting Master Class in Portland. This exclusive two-day workshop, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 5th and 6th, 2024, from 3 PM to 6 PM, offers aspiring performers a rare opportunity to learn the very techniques that propelled Snyder to Broadway stardom.
About the Workshop
James Snyder’s master class is a unique and comprehensive experience designed to strengthen participants’ vocal abilities and deepen their connection to their authentic voice and artistry. Participants will gain practical skills and insights directly from Snyder’s own journey to becoming a leading man on Broadway.
- Day 1: Voice
The first day focuses on developing and enhancing vocal strength through a physical approach to singing. This intensive session will help participants build power, depth, and range within their voices. James Snyder will then guide attendees in applying these techniques to a song, teaching them how to “map” a song from a vocal standpoint to ensure consistent success in their performances. - Day 2: Acting
The second day, dubbed the “Master Class” portion, delves into the acting side of musical theater. Participants will work on a song they have prepared, with James Snyder providing individualized coaching to help them develop a personal process for performance. This session is designed to empower performers to show up authentically and confidently in their work without overthinking.
“I am thrilled to bring this masterclass to Portland,” said James Snyder. “My goal is to help performers not only improve their vocal skills but also to discover the deeper emotional connections that make their performances truly captivating.”
The master class is priced at only $399. Spots are limited, so interested participants are encouraged to reserve their place early. To secure your spot, please contact James Snyder at (213) 215-7236 or email [email protected].
